About…

Arguably the biggest campaign Servus Credit Union does every year since 2018, the Servus Big Share campaign has a major impact. Both on the lives of those who win the $1 million prize and on the company in terms of brand awareness and business goals.

Design…

My contributions to this project in 2023, included providing art direction to elevate the agency proposed concept. Taking the initial idea around exploring the emotional response to winning the prize and ensuring all elements had that extra oomph! Such as having the circle expand to epic proportions and falling over to represent a feeling of gobsmacked, hurtling the circle through space for that rush of exhilaration or beaming with that amazing glow from feeling grateful. It came together beautifully and was even leveraged for another contest year.

Mastercard Fall Campaign

Channels & Platforms…

Meta, Email, Landing page, Online banking, Digital signage

About…

Looking to drive sustained spend and top-of-wallet behaviours with Mastercard holders the goal was to kickstart this habit with a contest for two lucky winners to have one monthly balance paid (up to $10k).

Design…

I created the theme of “Everywhere you spend”, which uses the credit card as a base, a GPS street style map and common places (leveraged from audience insights) for where spend is likely to occur. Incorporating e-commerce was a challenge solved by incorporating a delivery truck with some housing. Working closely with a fantastic illustrator and animator we brought to life the campaign mechanics in a friendly, energetic manner that represented both the Mastercard and Servus Credit Union brands.

Channels & Platforms…

Linear TV, Streaming TV – Amazon Prime, Reddit, Meta, GDN

About…

The objective of this campaign was to promote demand accounts to a non-member audience to acquire new chequing & savings accounts with new members. This required an evaluation of historical campaign performance, competitor review and past purchaser insights before proceeding to design.

Design…

Taking on the challenge to promote daily bank accounts in fall of 2024 while advancing the brand was a welcome adventure. By evolving the style into vibrant and charming 3D illustrative scenarios while building a convincing narrative, linking daily banking products to shared values of ease and personalization, we’ve allowed for the creative to cleverly ladder up to the brand tagline “Feel good about your money.”. Bringing forward the credit union difference to deeper connect and continue to build on previous positioning. This is one of three scenarios designed to align to the specific values and interests of the target personas.

Email, machinery, vehicle wraps, misc. stationery

About…

A local mechanical engineering company was starting up and looking to have a logo that matched the industry but stood out among competitors.

Design…

Designing for Targa was a great experience. A thoughtful design process led to the blue in the logo representing the desired even pressure in Targa designs. The gear for the G adding a uniqueness that not only implies the type of engineering that is done by Targa but also resembles a large wheel used by some of the heavy duty machinery vehicles that Targa designs for.

Servus Credit Union Brand Refresh

Delivery…

Creative Strategy: Sarah Tomilin, Servus Credit Union

Creative Agency: Karacters

About…

Back in 2014 it was identified that Servus Credit Union required a brand refresh. This project is one I reflect on often, as I directly influenced the face of Servus Credit Union.

Design…

What I was able to provide was the concept of working with an element that they could truly own – the circle. No other competitor had a circle in their logo that they were utilizing and there is so much that a circle can represent. At it’s core the circle is Servus, a financial institution that provides a well rounded experience for their members and what every consumer wants – banking without the edges. Through my research and creative strategy to prove the value of the direction, leadership was fully on board. This work was then moved forward to an external agency, Karacters, to be massaged into the refreshed brand you see today.
